Frequently asked questions
Is PlantScope's identification always correct?
No. Like any image-based tool, it can be mistaken. Treat results as guidance and confirm with a qualified expert before eating or handling any plant.
When will I be offered a recipe?
Only for plants identified as suitable edible species, and only after you acknowledge a safety warning. Toxic or uncertain plants are not offered recipes.
How many servings do recipes make?
Two by default. You can adjust servings in the app.
What is the Field Book?
Your personal plant encyclopedia: each saved find keeps your photo and a full dossier with botanical, edibility, care and toxicity notes.
Can I print my shopping list?
Yes — lists are designed to be printed or shared. Try the demo on our Shopping List page.
Is there an app store download?
PlantScope opens in your phone or computer browser. We don't currently list app store downloads.
